Welcome to the BCCN Training Department: 

The BCCN works to support the attainment of quality standards in childcare services.  As part of this work the BCCN has developed a comprehensive traning unit which has initiated and supported the development and delivery of both in-service and nationally certified training programmes.

The impact of this work has:

• Increased the number of qualified trainers
• Improved the content and the range of training available
• Enhanced the knowledge and skills of the childcare work force
• Improved outcomes for children in services
• Facilitated the delivery of cross border training
• Increased support for the childcare sector through working in partnership with other agencies
