Let’s Start with Simple Rhymes - Rannta Beaga Simplí
Children revel in the sounds, patterns and rhythm of language. The following rhymes are short and simple and can be recited and repeated over and over in any situation. They can be enjoyed with children in the home, early childhood settings and schools.

# Start simply with just the first two lines and then add the next two and so on.
## It may suit to have props for the children, for example, a muc (pig) and a bó (cow), a pair of leather shoes and a cup and saucer for the cupán tae (cup of tea). A seanbhean bhocht (poor old woman) can be acted out with a walking stick, and of course a cake could be used for císte te ( a warm cake).
